Re-Training Ourselves

Let's face it, it's not easy being Green. We have conditioned ourselves for ultimate convenience, our habits are hard to break, As Henry David Thoreau stated:
“As a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path, we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path, we must think over and over the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives.”
What's the point, the fact is, we have to work hard at reconditioning ourselves to consider the environmental impact of everything we do, this has in my personal experience taken years and I'm still at it, with a long way to go.

Today's simple point to remember: Point #1 STAY AWAY FROM SINGLE USE ITEMS

Some items to avoid: Plastic bags at the grocer - bring your own, Styrofoam especially and preferably paper plates and cups, also plastic single use knives & forks, there is just no justification for the short use of these items and eons in the environment as waste.
