Why All Corporations Will Practice Sustainability!

Sustainability will progress from "Doing the Right Thing" as competitive advantage to an Business Imperative. As our population continues to grow our demand for limited resources will follow. Competition for these resources will continue to increase, as these materials become scarce, nations and companies will start to hoard natural resources, we already see this happening. Developing sustainable supply chains will become a "Survival Imperative" at the top of the value chain for all organizations. Corporations need to start to integrate sustainability into "C" suite decision making for short, intermediate and long-term planning. Additionally clients ( and a more sophisticated public) will increasingly demand that their supply chain partners engage in systematic analysis (LCA's) of the environmental footprint and social impacts of their engagement and products supplied. "Sustainability Risk Assessment" needs to be part of every corporations business model.
It is my hope that many corporations will design true concern for the environment and social values into this model. Three dimensional capitalism if you will.
