CleanTech, Job Creation & A Revitalized America

The buzz around the next big thing is obviously centered around CleanTech, but we have hurtles to overcome to speed up the process. Let's look at solar tech as an example. The technology is ready for commercial viability, great strides are taking place in advancements daily. The disconnect however is that it is just to expensive. It is quite difficult to put together a business case and an ROI the is attractive to the CFO's office.
We must bring the cost of the technology down, increase government subsidies and expand the SREC programs to make a sensible business case for corporations. Until we get this right, solar will be slow to be deployed and jobs will not be created in mass, this is despite the enormous potential of the technology and its ability to revitalize our economy.
